Raise a Bottle 🍼 to the 2025 Baby of the Year & $42M Raised Benefiting Baby2Baby
Big baby news: Colossal’s Baby of the Year 2025 competition wrapped up with a huge heart and an even bigger impact. This year’s competition resulted in a $17.7 million grant supporting Baby2Baby, issued through Colossal’s charity grantmaking partner, DTCare.
And here’s the mic-drop moment: paired with last year’s $24.3 million grant, through the Baby of the Year competition, Colossal has now delivered a two-year total of more than $42 million to help children in need across the country with critical items they deserve.
Baby of the Year is presented by actress, entrepreneur, and longtime Baby2Baby Board Member Jessica Alba, and powered by a nationwide community of parents, friends, families, and supporters. With the added support of global icons like Kelly Rowland and Paris Hilton, the competition has become a joyful national movement with a serious mission behind it.
Meet the winner: Luca 🥹✨
A huge celebration is in order for Luca, our 2025 Baby of the Year winner — an adventurous little charmer who loves homemade meals, big smiles, and winning over everyone he meets. (Honestly, we get it.)
Luca’s story is one of thousands from families who joined in, voted, rallied their communities, and helped turn baby cheer into tangible impact.
Baby of the Year 2025: the biggest takeaways
As the confetti settles, a few themes stood out from the millions of votes and the families who participated:
1) Baby2Baby’s impact is massive—and the need is still urgent
Baby2Baby has spent the last 14 years delivering essential items to children in need across the nation—things like diapers, formula, clothing, food, and hygiene items—reaching over one million children each year.
“We are truly ecstatic to be the beneficiary of the Baby of the Year competition for the second year in a row and receive an extraordinary $17.7 million grant. Last year’s unprecedented success enabled us to go into 2025 ready to respond to the needs of children impacted by disasters nationwide including the devastating Los Angeles fires,” shared Baby2Baby Co-CEOs Kelly Sawyer Patricof and Norah Weinstein. “Today we are celebrating another monumental gift and the generosity of millions of voters that will allow us to deliver critical items including diapers, formula, clothing and food to children and families across the country for many years to come.”
2) People show up in a big way—especially for babies
Baby of the Year proves something pretty magical: everyday supporters can drive extraordinary outcomes. Through free voting, votes by donation, and good old-fashioned community rallying, families helped fuel one of the largest philanthropic efforts of its kind.
3) A real parent community formed
Beyond the brackets and leaderboard moments, the competition sparked connection — families sharing milestones, swapping tips, and celebrating each other.
And the parent support didn’t stop there: workshops with Little Sleepies, Safe in the Seat, and Big Little Feelings brought practical help around sleep, car seats, and navigating toddler-sized emotions.
4) Partnerships can multiply impact
This continued collaboration between Colossal and Baby2Baby shows what happens when purpose-driven innovation meets urgent needs: scalable giving, delivered in a way that creates real national outcomes.
5) Joy can be an engine for generosity
Baby of the Year is proof that meaningful philanthropy can be bright, playful, and celebratory. When people come together around something universally loved—babies—the enthusiasm turns into real-world support for families.
