Colossal Raises Over $3.2 Million Benefiting PAWS
America’s Favorite Pet (AFP) is an annual online competition celebrating our furry (some not-so-furry) canine and feline friends, and one of the most effective online fundraisers for PAWS year over year. This year was run a little differently as Colossal took the reins and powered the competition. Colossal CEO, Mary Hagen, has some huge news to share.
“It is our great honor and privilege to announce that Colossal has raised over $3.2 million to benefit PAWS, a foundation that is near and dear to our hearts. There are few sentiments more heartwarming than humans helping animals — and that’s what PAWS does every day, all year round. If we can lend a hand (or a paw) to save the life of just one, we’ve succeeded. This grant is going to save a lot of lives, and we are humbled by that reality,” says Colossal CEO Mary Hagen.
Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), based in Seattle, has been dedicated to saving the lives of animals since 1967. The organization cares for sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife creating a better world for creatures and critters of all types. Learn the story behind PAWS here.
America’s 2023 Top Cat, Oakley, became homeless during Florida’s Hurricane Ian only to be rescued by his current family, who garnered all the support of family, friends, and fans of the black tabby cat to win America’s Favorite Pet.
America’s 2023 Top Dog, Hunter, is an emotional support dog that visits a nursing home to share his love with the residents.
Both of these little loves will be featured in the pages of Catster and Dogster magazines, respectively, and their families will receive $5,000.
The America’s Favorite Pet Competition was operated by Colossal, a nationally registered professional fundraiser, on behalf of DTCare, a U.S. 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
