What a season! We are so proud to announce that through the Youth Athlete of the Year competition, along with competitors and their supporters, we raised a total of $21,660,605 to benefit two incredible organizations: Why Not You Foundation and V Foundation for Cancer Research.
$21.6 Million for Life-Changing Causes
Two powerful foundations. One massive impact.
Half of the funds will go to the Why Not You Foundation, founded by Russell Wilson and Ciara, which empowers youth to fight poverty through education and leadership. The other half supports the V Foundation for Cancer Research, created by legendary coach Jim Valvano and ESPN, driving cutting-edge discoveries that bring us closer to Victory Over Cancer®.
Together, these foundations champion hope, opportunity, and the belief that anything is possible.

Every hero has a highlight reel — and this year’s belongs to Tripp, a 13-year-old multi-sport phenom who dominates in football, lacrosse, and basketball. But what truly sets him apart is his heart.

From workshops to one-on-one coaching, these pros shared their wisdom on leadership, mental toughness, and the power of believing in yourself.
